The opportunity

The Director, Supply Chain will lead the Supply Chain team for the region, with end to end responsibility to execute all operational activities related to order management and product supply for existing and launch portfolio

All activities to be focused to maintain an efficient and robust supply chain and communication process in order to optimally serve customers and markets in regards to service, inventory and total cost of ownership in line with current and future business needs

How you'll spend your day

  • Manage a supply chain team of planner/buyers and respective team leaders, responsible for customer service, inventory and write offs
  • Accountable for assessing demand forecasts, PO creation and PO fulfilment, supply chain execution in the region including SC master data, follow-ups, escalation with the supplier and the internal functions
  • Harmonize, optimize and improve the processes and governance mechanisms to increase efficiency and compliant ways of working
  • Manage market driven changes (artworks, demand fluctuations etc.) in order to ensure product compliance and to support market needs for all relevant supply chain activities
  • Provide updates to senior leadership including identification of key milestones and resources which will include product introductions and transfers, as appropriate
  • Routinely monitor team performance and initiate process improvements to ensure achievement of key KPIs like CSL, OTIF, GRs, inventory etc.
  • Actively lead Goods Receipt, Cash Flow Management initiatives using all applicable levers under Supply Chain function purview
  • Effectively collaborate with other functions like Quality, Procurement, MS&T, LPCM, SRM and SRTs

Your experience and qualifications

·      Degree in engineering or master’s in science / pharmacy (engineering preferred)

·      15+ years of experience with significant experience of managing supply chain activities in an SAP environment.
