Job Summary: The Clinic Subject Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and recruiting study participants through a variety of means, typically via phone and computer, as well as educating potential participants about clinical study participation.
Essential Functions:
• Works in compliance with standards of Good Clinical Practice, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Internal Review Board (IRB) guidelines, QA/QC procedures, Company policy, OSHA guidelines and other state and local regulations where applicable
• Recruits and phone screens study participants, coordinating candidates with appropriate study participation
• Educates potential study participants on study participation
• Sources internal/external study participants to meet site recruitment needs
• Registers study participants in subject database and RSVP system at each screening visit and Period 1 admission
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support clinical operations and study execution
Your Skills and Experience
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/ Experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- A minimum of 1 year in recruiting, call center, customer service from a clinical research, healthcare or medical setting experience preferred
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Able to communicate effectively with a diverse population over the telephone and in person in both English and Spanish required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred
- Able to function independently within a team environment and handle competing priorities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail
- Possesses a professional sensitivity to confidential information and materials
- Able to interact with management, co-workers, company departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Able to speak, read, and write fluent English and Spanish, Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting materials and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work schedule may occasionally include weekends depending on study needs.
