The opportunity

Packaging Operator – 6 Month Contract
Location: Markham, Ontario
Training Shift: Days and Afternoons
Assigned shift after training completion: Night shift 

Join a fast-paced team where your attention to detail and commitment to quality help deliver trusted products to customers worldwide. As a Packaging Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Shift Schedule Training will begin on one of the following shifts:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:15 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:15 PM

After training, the role will transition to the Night Shift (10:15 PM - 6:15 AM).

Requirement: Must successfully pass a penicillin allergy test prior to onboarding

How you’ll spend your day

As a Packaging Operator I, you will:

  • Operate packaging equipment in accordance with the Master Packaging Order (MPO)
  • Follow EH&S policies, GMPs, and controlled procedures (SOPs, EMs, WIs, JAs)
  • Perform basic equipment setup, including programming batch info and cleaning/assembly
  • Troubleshoot and fine-tune equipment within your area of responsibility
  • Inspect finished products and complete documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized packaging area
  • Support OPEX initiatives (OEE, SMED, RCPS, Kaizen, 5S)
  • Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and operate equipment properly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your experience and qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmaceutical experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with high-speed machinery
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety procedures (OH&S Act, WHMIS)
  • Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills
  • Solid math and writing skills (online assessment required for interview consideration.
