The opportunity

Responsible for leading the Global Procurement Category Organization for Manufacturing Goods & Services (MG&S) within TGO, including all related subcategories. MG&S for TGO is a key category for Teva Global Operations organization. This role will directly manage a team of 6-8 associates plus Regional Procurement resources in a matrixed setup. External spend in these categories fluctuates between $450M - $650M. This role will work collaboratively with senior business unit leaders in all TGO Manufacturing key Functions to implement strategic category & sourcing solutions and key initiatives for the respective areas. This role is accountable for the development of procurement strategy, category management, supplier development, contract negotiation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing continuous improvement activities for all categories in the scope of the role.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Work with Vice President, Indirect in the development and implementation of global and regional TGO Procurement goals.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Senior TGO Leadership, Global Quality and other stakeholders to gather feedback, understand category pain points, opportunities, and influence category strategies.
  • Develop and deploy an effective category strategy to increase Teva’s ability to leverage MG&S spend volume globally, regionally, and locally.
  • Build category governance models to establish highly integrated ways of working with Regional procurement teams and key business units across multiple geographic regions.
  • Accountable and responsible for achieving a defined set of corporate and procurement objectives – most notably for savings delivery, working capital delivery, supplier risk, and Source to Pay process improvement.
  • Accountable and responsible for the respective Category Performance in collaboration with regional procurement functions.
  • Represent assigned categories and geographies at global and regional levels.
  • Assure alignment between Procurement, Business Unit, and Corporate Goals.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in the application of the Sourcing Management Process.
  • Conduct supply market research to provide category intelligence and benchmarks on industry dynamics, trends, and best practices.
  • Oversee all sourcing activities for the team, including directing and approving competitive bidding (RFx) processes. Review and approve complex RFx documentation issued by the team.
  • Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions.
  • Develop effective supplier negotiation plans and strategies.
  • Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programs with key suppliers to foster innovation, track performance metrics, and ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Interface directly with Finance to document value and P&L impact.
  • Drive compliance in line with the Global Procurement Policy.
  • Advance Teva Culture for the Global Indirect team.
  • Focus on people development and succession plans.
  • Establish and communicate Procurement Job performance standards and identify training and development needs.

Your experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in Business Administration and Engineering/Science.
  • MBA and/or relevant certification is preferred, e.g., Six Sigma, CPM, CPP.
  • 10 - 15 years of work experience in an international company with progressive leadership roles, including at least 3 years of supervisory/management experience in TechOps Indirect Procurement.

 

Functional Skills:

  • Able to translate strategic vision into implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple simultaneous projects, and deliver quantifiable results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – the ability to gain executive support.
  • Strong Interpersonal/Relationship Management Skills, ability to mentor, manage, and develop staff as well as manage/develop suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking that drives strategy and creates innovative options.
  • Solid business judgment, able to anticipate the impact of decisions and initiatives.
  • Superior financial modeling and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent supplier negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Proficiency with the different steps of the Sourcing Processes.
  • Proficiency with spoken and written English.
  • Travel Requirements – International: 20%.
