The opportunity

The role supports the end-to-end management of the product lifecycle, from the initial project and launch phases through to full commercialization, ensuring effective cross-functional coordination with key internal and external stakeholders. During the mature phase of the product, the role will also coordinate switching processes when required, and in the later stages, oversee the tailing and discontinuation activities.

 

Additionally, within its Business Development responsibilities, the role will manage both in-licensing and out-licensing activities. Regarding in-licensing, the position contributes to the assessment of the company’s pipeline and the identification of new business opportunities, supporting the incorporation of new launches and securing competitive market presence (1st wave). With respect to out-licensing, the role will identify and manage opportunities to establish distribution agreements with other pharmaceutical companies.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Manage the planning of launches for the assigned products.
  • Ensure compliance with key deadlines and project milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and propose solutions.
  • Escalate issues that may impact launch dates.
  • Participate in regular meetings with involved teams: Local & EU Supply, regulatory, EU Launch Managers, Product Managers, Commercial ES, Marketing, EU Portfolio, manufacturing sites, and Pharmacovigilance.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports and KPIs for internal tracking
  • Evaluate projects for inclusion in the pipeline.
  • Conduct pharmaceutical market analysis (trends, competition, regulatory environment).
  • Maintain and update pipeline tools and databases.
  • Manage business development activities: database management, contract review, assessment of new opportunities.
  • Identify in-licensing opportunities or products not internally developed.
  • Explore new out-licensing opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with Business Development partners, licensors, and external stakeholders, acting as the key internal point of contact.
  • Monitor products in decline and propose candidates for discontinuation.
  • Conduct profitability analysis and support decision-making regarding continuation or cancellation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to extend the lifecycle of mature products through SKU optimization, process adjustments or alternative commercial strategies.

Your experience and qualifications

  • University degree in Sciences (Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry), Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. Additional training in licensing, partnerships, deal structuring, or corporate financial valuation is highly valuated (e.g., MBA or equivalent).
  • High level of English (fluent spoken and written), required for regular interaction with European/global teams, external partners and strategic documentation.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product launches and/or business development within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in generics or mature products, ensuring a strong understanding of market dynamics and regulatory processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis, pipeline modeling, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making.
  • Experience working in multinational and matrix environments, collaborating with local and global teams (e.g., Supply, Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, Finance).
  • Experience in licensing negotiations (in-licensing / out-licensing), distribution agreements, or partnerships with external companies.
  • Experience in portfolio management, including both development-stage assets and mature or declining products, with proven ability to perform profitability analysis and support discontinuation decisions.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Proactivity in identifying and solving problems.
  • Availability to travel.
