The opportunity

The Associate Director KAM Hospital Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the hospital key account strategy. This role involves managing relationships with key decision-makers at hospital level, overseeing commercial partnerships with major national accounts and hospitals, and ensuring the successful implementation of long-term commercial collaborations. The position also includes managing the hospital Gx and biosimilars product portfolio to maximize gross margin and ensure broad hospital coverage nationwide.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Achieve national net sales and gross margin targets for all hospital products
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies for key accounts and hospitals at the national level
  • Lead and develop the KAM team
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with departments including Sales, Marketing, Tenders, Medical, Portfolio, Strategy, Regulatory, and Pharmacoeconomics
  • Coordinate and coach the biosimilars sales team
  • Maintain strong relationships with hospital pharmacy directors and hospital managers
  • Stay up to date on relevant legislation and anticipate regulatory changes at both national and regional levels
  • Optimize KAM workflows and contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Oversee commercial negotiations with healthcare institutions
  • Guide the development and execution of account plans to meet strategic objectives
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance across all regions and hospitals
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and applicable legal regulations

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business administration; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading Key Account Management teams and overseeing biosimilars sales in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record in sales and people management
  • Fluent in Spanish; proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Recognized as a mentor with a strong interest in developing strategic, leadership, and financial management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; familiarity with sales force management tools is a plus
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
  • Proven change leader capable of driving sustainable competitive advantage
  • Inspirational team leaders focus on empowering and developing high-performing teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time; primarily a field-based role with regular travel within assigned territories and occasional international travel. Office presence required for team and leadership meetings
