Job Functions

 

We are currently looking for a Forecasting Business Manager to join our Center of Excellence in Madrid. This person will perform the following Job functions:

 

  • Support the different stages of the S&OP process: Forecasting Review Meeting, Market Executive S&OP, Regional S&OP
  • Prepare and maintain relevant KPIs and operational reports pertaining to demand planning process
  • Collaborate with Local, Regional and Global Teams on specific analysis
  • Prepare the analytics required to support market activities – including data upload into the corresponding databases and subsequent data processing
  • Design and development of Business Analytics supporting the Forecasting and S&OP processes at Market, Region and Global level
  • Create statistical Forecast for in-scope markets
  • Identify demand drivers, understand causal factors influence and extrapolate to future demand pattern behavior. Perform what-if analysis
  • Perform root cause analysis on the Forecast vs. Actuals deviations and identify actions to be performed to mitigate them
  • Achieve consensus for operational demand Forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning approach with the markets
  • Maintain demand planning system and software
  • Work under a collaborative approach with the market on Forecast Accuracy improvement initiatives

 

Key Results

 

  • A demand Forecast which incorporates current and accurate market information that allows the company to correctly predict customer demand and provide its supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet that customer demand
  • Improved relationships among the Center of Excellence and the markets, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus Forecast to better guide the company
  • Refine systems and methods to continually improve Forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs
  • Accurate KPI figures for this information to be used as a basis for the decision making process
  • Execute with excellence in the area of demand Forecasting and feedback to the Supply Chain group the opportunities and risks
  • Publish of Business Analytics that facilitate the achievement of the most relevant KPIs and provides higher visibility of the supply chain to all the stakeholders

Qualifications

 

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in the Demand planning area
  • University degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Licenses/Certificates: APICS or Supply Chain Master´s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics software (specially QlikView) is preferred. QlikView development skills desirable.
  • Spanish and English: fluent, both spoken and written
  • Deep knowledge on the Sales and Operations Planning processes as well as on Demand Forecasting with an understanding of their operational impacts over the supply chain
  • Knowledge of Advance Planning/Forecasting Systems (SAP APO, Manugistics, SAS, Oracle Demand Planning, etc.) as well as Business Intelligence system is preferred

  • Typically resolves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist 
  • Often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience 
  • Takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance 
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the Forecast process – from demand planners to General Managers or Senior Directors from Regional Teams. Good facilitation skills are required
  • This position requires very strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills – hence experience with software packages including Windows and Microsoft Office (xls, ppts) is required
