Medical Scientific Liaison Officer - CNS (North of England, Scotland & Wales)

We are looking for a Medical Scientific Liaison Officer to provide effective, non-promotional scientific service to healthcare professionals in the North of England, Scotland and Wales. You will also maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to the CNS therapy areas.

A Day in the Life of…

  • You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice, MHRA regulations, and Teva internal processes and procedures pertaining to Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory legislation.
  • You will build and maintain scientifically current disease area, product and therapy knowledge. Provide scientific and technical support for, and maintain, credible, professional relations with clinicians, local decision-makers, external experts and academic centres.
  • You will develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the structure and workings of the NHS.
  • You will identify and address medical educational activities relating to disease area needs.
  • You will provide scientific support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries.
  • You will develop and review promotional and educational materials against the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • You will respond to unsolicited medical requests from healthcare professionals in line with the ABPI Code of Practice and company policies.

Who we are looking for

Are you….

  • Able to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills?
  • Enthusiastic, confident and a self-starter?
  • Able to travel widely to cover the geographical area of Northern England, Scotland and Wales?
  • Willing to stay overnight away from home and travel internationally when required?

 

Do you have….

  • A Masters Degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific area?
  • Experience working in the CNS therapy area or significant experience in similar areas?
  • Your ABPI qualification or be willing to study for it?
  • Experience in a non-promotional field based role within the pharmaceutical industry?
