Job Description

Head of Engineering for the Kfar Saba site responsible for capital and expense project delivery encompassing GMP facilities, equipment, utilities and lean six sigma improvement initiatives.  Provides oversight and direction for all site maintenance, calibration, equipment and Facility Management employees and activities.

Essential Duties / Functions

  • Provide leadership to project engineering, maintenance/calibration, equipment qualification and continuous improvement teams.
  • Develop and retain talent within the engineering and maintenance department.
  • Ensure all facilities and production equipment meet regulatory requirements (cGMPs, safety, and environmental)
  • Develop and implement capital project and department expense budgets.  Ensure delivery of projects according to established timelines and cost objectives.
  • Ensure compliant and effective Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) and calibration systems for all work order management.
  • Oversee efficient, reliable, cost effective use and delivery of energy to support operations.
  • Direct continuous improvement projects.
  • Specify and assess new automation and process control technologies to integrate and align plant floor operations with business systems.
  • Communicate with senior management on a regular basis and interface productively with the corporate departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering

Experience Required:

  • 10+ years’ Engineering related experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment required
  • Pharma experience strongly preferred
  • 8+ years previous supervisory/management experience
  • A proven track record of successful facilities management leadership experience
  • FDA audit experience strongly preferred. Experience with other regulatory bodies including: EPA, city and local authorities preferred
  • In depth knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated people skills, analytical, thorough and creative problem-solver
  • A proven track record of successful leadership experience
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a P&L understanding
  • Optimistic, energetic and passionate attitude
  • Possess a strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and team-oriented approach
