How you’ll spend your day

  • Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with GMP and pharmacopeial standards (USP, EP, BP).
  • Conduct sterility testing, bioburden testing, endotoxin testing (LAL), and microbial identification.
  • Perform environmental monitoring in cleanrooms, including air, surface, equipment, and personnel monitoring.
  • Accurately document test results, prepare reports, and review data in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate deviations (OOS / OOT), participate in root cause analysis, and support CAPA implementation.
  • Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, biological safety cabinets, and LIMS systems.
  • Participate in method validations, method transfers, and qualification of equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, aseptic practices, and GMP procedures.

Your experience and qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Microbiology / Biology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences – required.
  • Hands-on experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and microbiological quality standards.
  • Experience with sterility, bioburden, endotoxin (LAL) testing and microbial identification – advantage.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments and environmental monitoring – advantage.
  • Familiarity with microbiology lab equipment (autoclaves, incubators, biological safety cabinets) and LIMS systems.
  • Good English level – reading and writing SOPs and reports.
  • High accuracy, analytical thinking, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
