The opportunity
- The planner/buyer team leader is responsible for ensuring stable material supply to secure supply according to stock coverage, safety stocks and delivery dates and is responsible to plan and purchase components (like API, Artwork, Bulk etc.) for the production site.
How you’ll spend your day
- Manages MRP and Goods Receipt: Oversees the Material Requirements Planning and incoming goods processes.
- Ensures Timely Material Delivery: Monitors and adjusts purchase orders and scheduling agreements to meet production and customer needs.
- Adapts Procurement Plan: Aligns purchasing with production plans, including updating requisitions and selecting suppliers.
- Identifies Material Availability Issues: Proactively addresses long-term supply challenges with vendors.
- Maintains Optimal Inventory Levels: Analyzes and adjusts inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Manages ERP Planning Parameters: Configures and maintains system settings for planning and procurement (e.g., MOQ, lead time).
- Supports Project Management: Assists with new product launches, material transfers, and changes, managing bridging stocks.
- Ensures Compliance: Adheres to cGMP, SOP, Health and Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Trains and Develops Team: Responsible for the training and qualification of Supply Chain Planner/Buyer personnel.
- Leads and Motivates Team: Builds and develops a skilled supply chain team, driving performance and professional growth.
- Drives Continuous Improvement: Proposes and implements enhancements to supply chain processe
Your experience and qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration/Economics or similar.
- Experience managing a team of planners is required
- 4+ years professional experience in Planning or Purchasing department
- Highly team orientated
- Experience in working with strict deadlines with high attention to details
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and BI
- Customer orientation
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Capable of presenting information to all levels of management with supporting analysis under tight deadlines
- Participation and leadership in cross functional projects;
