Job Description

The site controller will provide financial insight and strategic guidance and leadership to enable effective decision making that tangibly improves the business performance of the site and enhances the sustainable competitiveness of our Irvine Operations.  In this regard, the site controller will be accountable for all:

 

(i)            Financial planning and analysis, including annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting, for our Irvine Operations as well as monthly reporting to local management;

(ii)           Product Cost Development for all Irvine-manufactured product;

(iii)          Effective management of Capital Expenditures, Inventory & Fixed Assets in Irvine;

(iv)         Liaising with the North American accounting shared service center to ensure relevant, accurate, timely, complete and compliant reporting for the Irvine Operations sites.

(v)          Financial reporting compliance at the site, guiding the site on all applicable financial policies and guidelines and ensure adherence.

(vi)         Influencing the actions and decisions of the Site Leadership Team in a way that ensures short and long-term decisions are based on strong financial reasoning and are   economically justified.

Qualifications

Education: BS or BA required, and an MBA preferred

 

Experience: 10 years' experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

 

Knowledge: Adequate understanding of quality and manufacturing (basic understanding is sufficient in case of pharmaceutical background.) Able to 'speak the language of the business'.  Basic knowledge of OPEX principles and tools.  Basic knowledge (theoretical and practical) in project management and process improvement. Adequate IT Proficiency* – ERP, Office tools, Hyperion, Oracle/SAP.
