Job Description

 

Teva is searching for a Labeling Packaging Operator to join our team in Irvine!

 

As a labeling / Packaging Operator you will setup and operate packaging equipment on an assigned production line to package quality product in high quantities.

 

Hours for this role: 2nd shift – 2pm – 10:30pm Monday – Friday. (OT as needed to include weekends and evenings).

 

You will:

  • Setup, maintain, and operate equipment on assigned lines in proper functioning order per SOPs including performing the changeover of equipment as required.
  • Exhibit a firm operational knowledge of at least 2 of the main pieces of equipment in the Packaging Department: I.E. Newman Labelers, Eisai Inspection Machines, MAB and Cartoners. 
  • Demonstrate high competence in the setup and the functionality of vision systems, thermal printers, and secondary packaging equipment.
  • Exhibit trouble-shooting skills at a moderate level: Monitor the product labeling operation for obvious labeling defects and make adjustments to equipment if necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the run of the lot, including performance of Quality Challenges.
  • Assist the leads daily, with completing the reconciliation of a batch record and equipment logbooks.
  • Maintain communication between leads, shifts, and quality assurance personnel.
  • Ensure production levels are maintained. Maintain communication between line leads if equipment problems arise.
  • Assist Maintenance, Engineering, and Validation departments with equipment setup, changeovers, and operation of new equipment and new parts when needed.
  • Work in other areas of Packaging as required (i.e. hand packing, kit assembly).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all cGMPs and SOP’s.

Qualifications

 

  • High School education or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 1+ years related production experience required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Firm knowledge of SOP’s and cGMP’s.
  • High mechanical aptitude (including machine set up and disassembly) strongly preferred.
  • 1 year previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and inventory control systems preferred.
  • This role requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift up to 50 lbs.
