Job Description

Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking to fill an Aseptic Filling Operator in Irvine, California. In this role, you will support production by operating filling equipment in an ISO Class 5 environment.

 
This position will work either 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
Candidates must be flexible as to shift and days of the week.

 
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs equipment changeovers across multiple lines, sanitization (cleanrooms and equipment), line set-ups, operation of all machinery in ISO 5 and 7 areas, operates processing testing equipment (e.g. gas chromatograph and electronic scales).
• Perform Catching areas line clearances, label verification, perform in-process fill volume (employing SPC technique) testing, perform headspace verification, monitor filled product PM by conducting in-process visual inspection, collect samples for various QC programs.
• Communicates status of essential duties and responsibilities with different levels within the department.
• Accurately completes batch record documentation, all appropriate logbook entries and GMP documentation.
• Perform pre-manufacturing component visual inspection to reduce finished product defective units.
• Completes assigned training on time to maintain training compliance with procedures and policies.
• Practices Aseptic Technique on a consistent basis to minimize contamination in the Class 5/6 areas.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Policies and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a compliant state of the areas.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Management

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• High school education or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of related production experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
• Ability to demonstrate comprehension of machinery processes and troubleshooting.
• Manual dexterity and lifting ability
• Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations with the aid of a calculator
• Good communication skills
• Required to wear clean room gowning.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous pharmaceutical experience preferred.
