The opportunity

This is an opportunity for a Packaging Artworker to join our in-house artwork department, creating pharmaceutical packaging for both European and International Markets.

 

Please note: this is a packaging production artwork role, not a creative design position. The focus is on creating accurate, compliant, print-ready packaging artwork (cartons, labels, foils, leaflets etc.) that follow strict regulatory and brand guidelines, built to specific technical requirements. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and technical expertise in working with dielines and text, rather than creative concept design.

 

This role involves building high quality artwork, performing artwork checks and adhering to artwork procedures.

A Day in the Life of a Packaging Artworker...

  • Working as part of a team you will create print ready artworks for a wide range of global markets and manufacturing sites.
  • Using our Artwork Management System for daily workload to download briefs and reference documents required for artwork creation.
  • Using the Adobe Illustrator and InDesign you will create artwork from supplied text and departmental assets, ensuring files meet regulatory requirements, brand guidelines, and the technical specifications of the dieline.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of regulatory and livery requirements, support team with updating design assets.
  • Maintain good communication and working relationships within the artwork group.
  • Our team promotes continuous improvement in order to maintain high industry standards; Show adaptability and flexibility to departmental and process improvements.
  • Ensure all processes and SOP's are adhered to, thus minimising the occurrence of non-conforming materials.
  • Attend daily workload meetings as well as wider team meetings for training updates as well as general communication.
  • Where appropriate provide training and knowledge sharing to other colleagues within the department.
  • Ensure database and spreadsheets are updated in a timely manner.

Your experience and qualifications

Do you have...?

  • Experience as an Artworker, preferably in pharmaceutical or packaging.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is a MUST. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge desirable.
  • Experience in packaging or production artwork (rather than creative design).
  • Experience of applying brand guidelines and text onto a technical dieline.
  • Experience of print and packaging processes, producing artwork to print standards.
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy

 

Are you...?

  • Detail-oriented and methodical, able to follow brand and regulatory guidelines.
  • Experienced in packaging or production artwork creation.
  • Skilled in working with technical dielines, supplied text, and approved assets to produce accurate, compliant artwork.
  • Comfortable working in a process-driven, highly regulated environment where accuracy and consistency are critical.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, with strong technical knowledge of print standards.
  • A good communicator who can work collaboratively in a team, independently when required, adapt to process improvements, and share knowledge.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple briefs efficiently and ensure daily workloads are completed on time.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Able to transfer artwork briefs into high quality artwork
  • User of Apple Macintosh systems and applications
