The Opportunity
This is a key role in our field medical team across the UK and Ireland. This role will maintain direct engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) at national, regional and local levels. MSL will bridge scientific excellence with field execution, working closely with therapeutic area teams and field sales team to develop and implement field medical strategies. This role will be responsible for engaging with KOLs and implementing field medical strategy in a designated territory across multiple therapeutic areas and across the whole life cycle of Teva’s product portfolio.
This role is expected to be in the field 3 to 4 days a week. Success in this role will be measured by:

- Scientific projects completion and impact
- Compliance and regulatory adherence
- Cross-functional collaboration and impact on outcomes
Territory & Travel Requirements
The territory for this role will cover London OR South East
- Extensive travel required across UK and Ireland
- International travel for meetings and conferences
- Overnight stays required for field visits and meetings
- Field based role with frequent visits to Teva sites across Ridings Point, Harlow, Ireland and any subsequent sites as appropriate
- This role requires ‘time on territory’ of 3 to 4 days per week
How You’ll Spend Your Day
Stakeholder Engagement and Management in the Field (c.80% of your time)
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs
- Engage with NHS trusts and academic institutions to implement field medical strategy
- Identify and support regional and local rising star KOLs ensuring their involvement in various scientific projects
- Develop and execute KOL engagement strategies
- Engage with HCPs at major scientific meetings and congresses
- Engage with investigators as appropriate
Strategic Planning & Execution (c.5%)
- Collaborate with therapeutic area medical and scientific advisors and field sales teams to develop comprehensive field medical strategies
- Translate national medical strategies into actionable field execution plans
- Ensure alignment between field medical objectives and business priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate strategy effectiveness, adapting approaches as needed
- Provide medical insights and market intelligence to therapeutic area and field sales teams
- Support data generation projects where appropriate
Scientific Excellence (c.5%)
- Maintain deep therapeutic area expertise and stay current with medical literature
- Provide scientific leadership and credibility in interactions with healthcare professionals
- Support medical information requests and scientific discussions
- Contribute to medical publications, research collaborations, and scientific initiatives
- Support formulary inclusion of Teva’s products by providing up-to-date scientific data
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of the competitive environment, ongoing clinical research and publications in the designated disease area
Cross-functional Collaboration (c.5%)
- Partner with wider medical team and field sales team
- Support product launch preparations and lifecycle management activities
- Contribute to medical education programs and advisory board planning
- Collaborate with global and EU medical teams on key initiatives
- Liaise with MSLs from other countries to share best practices
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice, IPHA, HPRA, MHRA regulations, and Teva internal processes
Strategic Partnership & Representation (c.5%)
- Deputise for AD, Field Medical as appropriate
- Partner with AD, Field Medical on high-priority strategic initiatives
- Represent Medical Affairs at UK, Ireland, EU, and global meetings
Your Experience And Qualifications
Essential:
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, Pharmacy, or equivalent)
- Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal qualifications where candidates demonstrate exceptional track record to cover all requirements for the MSL role
- Experience in an MSL role OR a clinical psychiatry/mental health background within the NHS
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen
- Knowledge of UK and Irish regulatory landscapes
- Experience of engaging with key stakeholders in neurology or psychiatry
Desirable:
- Post-graduate qualification in neurology or psychiatry
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience in working with field sales team
- Previously supported in formulary inclusion of new products
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Involvement in pre-launch medical planning for a new product launch
- Experience of launching new products, especially in neurology or psychiatry
- Knowledge of treatment landscapes in neurology and psychiatry
- Existing relationship with Key Opinion Leaders in neurology and/or psychiatry
- Understanding of clinical trial management, especially Phase II/ III/ IV
