We are looking for a Medical Advisor in our Harlow site to provide Medical support to Teva UK and Teva IE for CNS and other BUs as required, ensuring that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Company policies and accepted standards of best practice.

A day in the life of a Medical Advisor in Teva


As a Medical Advisor you will:

  • Provide medical support to CNS BU including Marketing and Regulatory, MSLs and across all aspects of the CNS BU and others as required
  • Manage compliance of promotional materials with necessary regulations such as ABPI Code of Practice / Blue Book, and to provide input on compliance with the regulations to Medical and Marketing departments in CNS and others if required
  • Complete objectives as agreed with the Associate Medical Director CNS
  • Generate product and company advocacy and product usage with identified customers through the applied use of medical and marketing initiatives, professional education and NHS network management
  • Input into the development and support the execution of the Medical component of the Brand Strategy, and develop and execute a tactical Medical Plan for each assigned product, in support of the Brand Plans across the cluster.
  • Support the marketing and market access strategy for all CNS products by being a key member on cross functional teams.
  • Support Global R&D and EU medical affairs on the management of ongoing clinical studies, on a cluster level, as well as providing local medical affairs input to the design of future studies
  • Develop and maintain key Stakeholder relationships including Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with both Medical Information, the Marketing department and other internal stakeholders
  • Provide therapy area/product training to sales teams and medical personnel working within the UK & IE cluster
  • Ensure knowledge is up-to-date including “Horizon scanning” of relevant publications and production of technical bulletins/briefing documents, training programmes, etc, as appropriate
  • Build and maintain scientifically current disease area, product and therapy knowledge. Provide scientific and technical support for, and maintain, credible, professional relations with clinicians, local decision-makers, external experts and academic centres
  • Identify and address medical educational activities relating to disease area needs
  • Provide scientific support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of the competitive environment, ongoing clinical research and publications in the designated disease areas
  • Provide full medical support for pre-launch activities and the launch phase of commercialisation
  • Attend national & international congresses where required and subsequently disseminate the appropriate information both internally and externally
  • Final signatory for Promotional Material Approval process


Do you have...?

  • Medical Qualification (qualified Physician) 
  • Significant experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (must have)
  • Post Graduate Qualification (not a must)               
  • Final signatory for ABPI / IPHA Code and MHRA (must have)
  • Significant knowledge of CNS portfolio (desirable). We are open to see candidates who bring other specialty or generics experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all relevant medicinal product and medical device regulations, (UK and EMA), including relevant advertising regulations, and the ABPI / IPHA Codes of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Solid data analysis and project management skills
