A day in life of...


We are looking for an Associate Director Global Medical Devices and Digital Health for our Harlow (preferred) or Runcorn site.

Essential duties & responsibilities as a Patent Attorney with responsibility for Teva medical devices are:


  1. Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications and maintain, defend, and extend term of patent rights
  2. Direct and advise client on patent and related IP issues for designated areas
  3. Identify inventions in designated area and secure valid patent protection world-wide
  4. Assist in formulation of patent strategies in development projects
  5. Secure freedom from valid blocking 3rd party patent rights
  6. Give necessary and timely professional IP input to R&D/BD/Markets/Litigation/Transaction activities
  7. Member of designated project team meetings
  8. Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. 
  9. Other projects and duties as required/assigned


Please note that a minimum 20% domestic/international travel will be involved.



Do you have...?

  • Admission to practice as a National, e.g., British, and European Patent Attorney. BS or MS in a relevant subject; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Proven experience doing pharma/biotech IP work, either in-house or at a law firm
  • Experience with injectable products or digital health products is a plus
  • Understanding of factors which influence the development of both brand and generic pharmaceutical products
