Your role:

Senior Director Head of Medis Commercial Finance & Iceland is the Business Partner for VPs and Medis GM. You will be responsible for providing financial insight and strategic guidance, to enable effective decision making that improves business performance, enhancing sustainable competitiveness while maintaining oversight of all financial activities in Medis. This role will also provide leadership on all the financial reporting process in Iceland including all Iceland Legal entity reporting and managerial reporting.  


Main responsibilities:

  •  Business partnering & Influence on the business: Serve as an influential member in Medis leadership teams and support achieving the short and long term business objectives. Develop and maintain various work interfaces to ensure integration of all business performance parameters; provide financial insight to the leadership teams.Providing support and ensure good communication channel with the commercial and supply forecasting teams, product and account managers. Supporting customer relations, agreement negotiations and other collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Financial analysis – lead gross profit and probability analysis in purpose to support business decision and maximize the added value for Teva and Medis.
  • Management Reporting - Provide insightful analysis based on required management reporting and analysis to the different internal units and TGO, ensuring a coherent financial picture to support business decision management.
  • Planning & Forecasting – Leads all financial process (Actual closing, LBE, AOP) and ensures adherence to reporting timelines. Enhances forecast accuracy, analyzes results and proposes necessary corrective measures, prepares all required financial presentations.
  • Lead Long Range Plan (LRP) processes and contribute to sustainable business growth  
  • Leading Finance – As the most senior representative of finance in Iceland, provide guidance and support all financial process in Iceland and all financial activities in all legal entities under Medis and for all finance functions - Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Compliance & Internal Control.
  • Financial statements - Ensure the integrity of the financial statements and compliance .Work with global finance functions to ensure compliance with all applicable accounting and other finance related regulations.
  • Compliance Guide commercial teams on all applicable financial guidelines and identify risks. Leading & establishing financial policies and procedures across the global organization to improve standardization and compliance, such as revenue recognition, AR, Tax, SOX, customer return policy, etc.
  • Collection and Cash flow: Oversee collection activities including payments terms, customer risk, on-time collections and collection forecast
  • Team manager - Lead & Manages qualified financial professionals to ensure the team's high performance and develops finance team member for career progression.

 

Your Profile

 

  •  Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting in matrix organizations,
  •  Strong experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of robust strategies in financial management .
  •  University degree in Accounting, Economics or any equivalent studies (CPA and/or MBA – preferable).
  •  Pharmaceutical industry experience (as advantageous),
  •  Working abilities in a global environment with many interfaces, experience in global and matrix managing,
  •  Strong background in planning, problem solving and execution - thoroughly plans, communicate effectively and executes financial processes. Strong process orientation.
  •  Excellent knowledge in data analysis and finance IT systems
  •  High people management and development skills (proven track record of developing high performer Financial Managers),
  •  Very good analytical mindset, numeracy and modeling skills,
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  •  Collaborative strong Business Partner with influencing capabilities,
  •  Fluency in English - verbally and in writing
