Our Team, Your Impact

The Product manager serves as an expert in product knowhow through its life cycle and is responsible for establishing and maintaining Product and Price Strategy for Medis products. He or she collaborates closely with Commercial Operations, Portfolio and Clusters.  

The Product Manager takes on an active role in forecasting and budget review for new products and provides support during launch preparation with expected market situation, expected launch dates and demand.

The Product Manager is constantly seeking new opportunities and/or improvements for the products and ways to maximize the success of Medis’ products; both pipeline products and commercial products.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

  • Act as main point of contact within Medis for designated products, approved into Medis portfolio, from time of portfolio approval through the lifetime of the product
  • Identify strength and weaknesses of the product and take responsibility for collaborating with relevant stakeholders in order to create optimal holistic product and pricing strategy for designated Medis products
  • Prepare and provide product specific information and sales material necessary to the Medis clusters
  • Track ongoing development process, IP status and ongoing registrations for new products and contribute in regular product update meetings, IP update meetings and regulatory update meetings for relevant stakeholders
  • Gather & maintain product information in product database in order to support the success of the product through its lifetime and improving the Medis Product database tool
  • Collaborate with Commercial Price manager when creating the price strategy for the products
  • Follow up on, take action and follow through of the outcome of negative/low margin calculations related to designated products from Commercial Price manager
  • Keep track of all Medis business related activities, offers to signed agreements, for new products (prior to commercialization) and act as appropriate when a product (both new and commercialized) is not returning sufficient margin
  • Keep a detailed overview of the current business activity of each of the new products in order to be able to support multiple departments and functions within Medis, in a timely manner
  • Act as Medis' key contact person for all product transfers and ensure all stakeholders are made aware of any ongoing transfers.
  • Manage the products as needed throughout their lifecycle

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life science, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of related experience with product management or business development and knowledge of R&D or regulatory requirements essential
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical research and development and knowledge of commercial principles of the generic industry is desirable 
  • Project management certification and/or experience are advantageous
  • Strategic thinking and flexibility to adapt to changes
  • Analytical skills with ability to research and analyze the right data to make product decisions
  • Business understanding with ability to deeply understand market situation and clients’ needs
  • Collaborative and interpersonal skills with ability to influence different people or groups, to communicate and disseminate the product strategy
  • Good computer skills and fluency in English spoken and written
  • Communication and presentation skills

Location

This role can be performed from the following locations: Iceland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Israel.
