Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Manager Production Planning to be based in Haarlem, Netherlands.

Job Target

Realize high delivery reliability through optimal and efficient (production costs, stock management) production planning of the total product range of Operations in the short and long term.

Position Within The Company

Direct manager: Director Supply Chain

Number of Team Members:  At present 5 employees

Activities / Responsibilities

Realize planning policy based on high delivery reliability, paying attention to both the short and the (medium) long term. Part of this is the preparation, realization and continuous testing of the logistical planning of Operations:

  • Production and packaging planning
  • Capacity management
  • Inventory management
  • Lead time from order to delivery
  • Performance measurement of support departments

Translating information (inventory levels and sales expectations) into production plans and production and capacity plans in a purchasing need.

Determining and optimizing required and available capacities and main production plan, including:

  • Matching capacity and occupation of the production department (s); suggest alternatives with regard to filling capacity
  • Make proposals for expansion or reduction of capacity and / or production
  • Interpreting prognoses and translating this into production plans
  • Determine priorities in consultation
  • Coordinate with departments and advise on feasibility and realization
  • Supervise execution planning

Creating logistical synergy with planning, customer service, purchasing, quality control, Engineering & Maintenance and production.

To This End

Managing the work to be carried out by employees in such a way that an efficient work performance is realized.

  • Ensure adequate design of the department and effective communication structure
  • Instructing and delegating powers and tasks in consultation with those involved
  • Supervise the execution of the work; quantitative, qualitative and monitoring progress
  • Creating logistical synergy with planning, customer service, purchasing, quality control, Engineering & Maintenance and production.
  • Managing the work to be carried out by employees in such a way that an efficient work performance is realized.
  • Identifying, detecting and intervening in case of imperfections
  • Assess employees
  • To look after personnel matters, take care of qualified employees

Qualifications

Educational attainment

  • Academic level – HBO / University.

Specific Training And / Or Experience

  • Logistics training
  • Complex (international) production environment in the pharma, food or FMCG sectors.
  • Experience with ERP systems

Knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Pharmaceutical market knowledge / GMP is an advantage
  • Dutch (essential) & English language in word and writing
