Your role

The purpose of your role will be to be the site responsible for delivering, supporting and managing interfaces to Manufacturing / Engineering systems. These systems maybe interfaced to other systems such as SAP while some systems maybe standalone. The second objective will be to support global strategic projects / initiatives and to install standardised solutions into the local sites, supporting these from implementations into ongoing management and support in alignment with the global owners. 


Your key responsibilities

  • Be the site expert on MES, Serialisation, OEE and Engineering Information Management System
  • Assist and work with local developments and programmes ensuring no duplication if a global solution exists (Asset Management systems, OSI-Soft etc.)
  • Manage and support locally, maintaining support for Interfaces and troubleshooting as and where required
  • Support the users in the system administrator tasks as deemed necessary. Work for a local /global support model and daily administration not compromising the data integrity of these systems
  • Maintain the integrity of systems and ensuring backup solutions are in place by the global or local ITMU’s using standardised solutions
  • Support projects required by or directed through the ITMU and work with responsible interlocutors to ensure alignment, assessing / reporting risks and impact.  Consider / review new ways of working to ensure LEAN practices are considered during project implementations. Ensure comprehensive realistic training needs / requirements are met
  • Ensure sufficient consideration is paid to all regulatory compliance requirements for system implementation and maintenance including GMP, computer systems validation, SOX, security and risk. Assist in the generation and execution of validation deliverables
  • Ensure appropriate service levels are developed and monitored for support of Manufacturing / Engineering IS systems working with the global team, external partners and providers of specific software related to production. Ensure support partners perform to the defined SLA and provide resolutions within the agreed timescale

Your profile


  • 5+ years’ experience across a broad range of Manufacturing / Engineering systems and applications, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is required to understand the key interfaces for MES and Batches / Dispensary systems
  • Ability to think and work independently, and collaborate with internal and external project teams effectively
  • Strong process analysis and modelling skills
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)


  • Bachelor’s degree in computing, science or a related subject / equivalent field experience.
  • Strong IT skills and capabilities with project management. Highly self-motivated, adaptable flexible and resilient
  • Strong written, numerical and verbal communications skills
  • Compliance & validation experience (GxP. ITIL practices).
