The opportunity

The Director, Supply Chain External Manufacturing will be responsible to manage the API Supply Chain from TAPI to TEVA, with end-to-end responsibility to execute all operational activities related to order management and product supply for existing and launch portfolio. This includes communication with the sites and related functions and optimized supplier management. All activities to be focused to maintain an efficient and robust supply chain and communication process to optimally serve Teva sites (including EMSO Toll Manufacturing)  in regard to service, inventory, and total cost of ownership in line with current and future business needs.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Act as the primary liaison between the API supply and internal sites, including the single point of contact for escalation, with responsibility for proper communication with all stakeholders. 
  • Assess demand forecasts and oversee PO creation and fulfillment.
  • Manage supply chain execution, including master data management, follow-ups, and escalation with suppliers and internal functions.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and to interrogate deviations regarding forecasts / sales.
  • Manage market driven changes to ensure product compliance and to support market needs for all relevant supply chain activities
  • Ensure transparent communication with the markets for all supply and demand topics (FC changes, supply disruptions, delivery dates, etc.) via Teva standard tools like SnOP, SnOE, IBP, Control Tower etc.
  • Proactively manage anticipated future challenges, identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. 
  • Maintain contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions.
  • Harmonize, optimize and improve the processes and governance mechanisms to increase efficiency and compliance
  • Lead supply chain strategic initiatives for the region in coordination with global, regional, and local stakeholders
  • Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics. Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance for senior management.
  • Support GSCM activities like AOP (Annual Operating Plan), master data management and ensure alignment to GSCM processes and policies
  • Provide updates to senior leadership including identification of key milestones and resources which will include product introductions and transfers, as appropriate
  • Actively lead Goods Receipt, Cash Flow Management initiatives using all applicable levers under Supply Chain function purview
  • Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Effectively collaborate with other functions like Quality, Procurement, MS&T, LPCM, SRM and SRTs
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed by the business 

Your experience, skills and qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science/Pharmacy
  • 12+ years of experience of experience managing supply chain or related functions within the pharmaceutical, biotech,  chemical, food or meddev industry.  API experience is preferred, 
  • You have previous experience in working with demand and supply processes in a global environment, as well as in customer service/logistic operations
  • Understanding of Quality and Procurement would been an advantage. 
  • Experience in leading change management activities.
  • Fluent Business English, effective communication skill, and Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • You demonstrate solid computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office package and SAP
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills, capable of managing time effectively
  • Ability to look at the things holistically with effective decision-making skills, especially when faced with ambiguity.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present parsimoniously to senior leadership and across hierarchies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and self-learning skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in work deliverables
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
