The opportunity

You’ll be responsible for shaping and overseeing the implementation of automation and digitization use cases on site, including equipment connectivity and data acquisition, in collaboration with external vendors. This role involves managing the interface with automation integrators and ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies and digital ways of working at the site.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Collaborate with automation expert for the identification of opportunities, definition of prioritization of automation efforts potential solutions
  • Identify challenges and requirements (packaging constraints, utilities, HSE requirements, flexibility need, etc.) related to automation projects
  • Lead the implementation of local automation initiatives and ensure the integration and coordinate actions with local integrators from quotation to implementation, to system test and release
  • Support the implementation of additional sensors and controllers on existing equipment to capture additional data
  • Ensure implementation of new standard work on line and support operators and maintenance technicians with the new way of working
  • Support maintenance and improvement of the solutions (e.g. vision based system algorithm review, equipment calibration, etc.) 
     

Your experience and qualifications

  • BS/ MS degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • Very good knowledge of classical and new automation technologies – PLC and drive systems
  • IT networks and Firewall basic knowledge
  • Standard interfaces for data exchange (OPCUA, OPCDA)
  • Experience of implementation at scale of industrial projects
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and data acquisition
  • Experience with Aveva Historian, PTC Kepware or Cogent Datahub
  • Pharma technologies experience optional
  • Experience in technical projects management 
  • Experience with external stakeholders management to handle the collaboration with local integrators
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong interest in new technologies, high energy level
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple stakeholders
  • Attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly resilient and creative
