The opportunity
The Access Value Demonstration Director – Europe plays a pivotal strategic and coordination role, acting as the interface between European country access teams and the Global HEVO (Health Economics, Evidence & Value Outcomes) function. This role is responsible for translating the full value of Teva’s innovative medicines portfolio into tangible, system-accepted healthcare benefits across Europe.
By consolidating regional and local market insights and needs, the role ensures timely and meaningful input into global brand value strategies and supports the development of tailored evidence plans that address European payer and stakeholder expectations at the regional and local level.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in health economics and outcomes research, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for demonstrating the value of medical innovation.
How you’ll spend your day
- Serve as the primary liaison between European market access teams, country access and HEOR teams, and Global HEVO to ensure regional and local insights are embedded into global evidence generation and value strategies throughout the development gates.
- Bridge global/regional brand strategy with European country-specific needs, supporting access readiness, lifecycle planning, and portfolio optimization.
- Identify and prioritize European-specific payer and HTA evidence needs in close collaboration with local and regional access stakeholders.
- Lead the design and implementation of value demonstration strategies to clearly articulate the economic, clinical, and humanistic value of Teva’s innovative medicines portfolio to European payers and HTA bodies.
- Represent Teva Europe at external platforms including European industry associations, HTA and policy forums, and payer engagement meetings.
- Lead European coordination within the Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) workstream to ensure alignment and readiness across the portfolio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, HEVO, Policy, etc.) to align evidence generation plans with regional and local access strategies.
- Drive cross-country collaboration and share best practices to strengthen access value demonstration capabilities across the region.
- Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement at the European level; ensure countries have strong stakeholder engagement strategies in place.
- Contribute to Integrated Brand Plans and, where applicable, Access Plans to embed payer-relevant evidence planning early.
- Champion internal awareness and upskilling around access value demonstration across regional and country teams.
- Demonstrate strong change leadership and entrepreneurial thinking in advancing Teva’s access ambitions.
- Manage project budgets and timelines effectively to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of access deliverables.
- Contribute actively to the European Value and Access vision and mission as a collaborative and engaged team member.
- Stay current on trends in pricing, reimbursement, policy, HEOR, evidence-based medicine, and market access to shape forward-looking strategies in collaboration with global, regional, and country teams.
- Build and maintain a strong network of HEOR experts and access stakeholders, including HTA agencies, policy makers, academics, and payer influencers, to support market access, uptake, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on patient advocacy needs to support European access and reimbursement needs and imperatives.
- Apply Global HEVO training and compliance curricula, and governance across region and local markets
Your experience and qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, or a related field (PhD, MSc, MPH, MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in market access, health economics, outcomes research, or payer strategy within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep understanding of the European access and HTA landscape, including deep knowledge/experience with Joint Clinical Assessments (JCA).
- Proven success in developing and implementing access value demonstration strategies tailored to European payer expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to align global and local strategies in cross-functional environments.
- Strong external engagement skills, including experience representing organizations in industry forums and access-related bodies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management capabilities.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is an asset.
- Ability to travel 20% of time
