How you’ll spend your day

  • Demand Planning:
  • Lead the demand forecasting process in collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Use historical data, market trends, and statistical models to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Support monthly demand and supply review meetings at site level and with customers.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to address variances.
  • Supply Planning:
  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, considering production capacity, inventory levels, and material availability.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to create production schedules that maximize efficiency and minimize lead times.
  • Monitor supply plans and adjust as needed to respond to changes in demand or operational constraints.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between demand, supply, procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring supply chain readiness, including material availability and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality teams to ensure compliance with GMP and other pharmaceutical standards.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance planning processes through automation, analytics, and the use of ERP/MRP tools.
  • Implement best practices in demand and supply planning to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Risk Management:
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks related to demand volatility, supplier disruptions, or production delays.
  • Proactively address potential supply chain bottlenecks or challenges.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze key supply chain performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, on-time full delivery, and service levels.
  • Prepare regular reports on demand and supply planning performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Utilization of  ERP systems to optimize planning processes and improve OTIF
  • Process Improvement and Digital Transformation:
  • Identify improvement processes and collaborate with OPEX team for implementation.
  • Implement advanced planning tools to automate and enhance planning processes.
  • Leverage data analytics and predictive models to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
  • Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve service levels, and enhance agility
  • MDG: 
  • Master data validation and maintenance with current business scenarios for the campus
  • To ensure consistency in SAP master data for planning and adhering to the SAP MRP Process.

Your experience and qualifications

  • 08-15 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting, production scheduling, and material planning.
  • Proven track record of using ERP systems (e.g., SAP ENT, Oracle, Kinaxis).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharma, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Preferred Advanced degree MBA in Supply Chain, Operation or Equivalent certifications
