Your mission
Join the largest site in the TAPI network, located in Gajraula, India. This dynamic and expanding site is at the forefront of growth, with exciting CDMO projects on the horizon. The facility is a unique blend of production, pilot plant, and global stability lab, producing a diverse range of molecules. The Site General Manager (SGM) is the driving force behind all site activities, ensuring operational excellence in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), quality, service, and cost. This role is pivotal in providing TAPI with a competitive edge by meeting site goals and aligning with both global and local strategic plans. The SGM is the face of TAPI at the site, representing the company to employees and, with corporate approval, to local and national authorities. Leading the site leadership team, the SGM fosters a culture of engagement and motivation.
How you’ll spend your day
- Improve Business Results: Enhance site competitiveness by optimizing processes using OPEX principles and tools, aligning with TAPI's regional and global goals.
- Achieve Site Goals: Meet site-specific targets while implementing global and regional strategic and operational plans.
- Communication and Representation: Act as the liaison between site employees and senior Teva leadership, and represent Teva to local authorities, community leaders, and customers.
- Role Clarity and Process Management: Ensure clear responsibilities and alignment among site roles, manage adherence to processes, and resolve conflicts.
- Leadership: Lead all site staff, both directly and indirectly, to ensure responsibilities are met at all levels.
- Change Management: Drive and manage change processes throughout the site.
- Talent Development: Coach and develop the leadership team, motivate employees, and foster engagement and enthusiasm.
- Integration of Goals: Incorporate functional, regional, and global KPIs and initiatives into site plans, and negotiate and commit to site-specific KPIs.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to global and regional operations strategy, apply best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate a leadership team of solid- and dotted-line reports to foster partnerships and drive results.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure regulatory approval, maintain a safety culture, and achieve EHS excellence.
- Balanced Decision-Making: Make decisions balancing safety, quality, service, and cost, and oversee product compliance with quality requirements.
- Business Continuity Planning: Develop and manage plans for business continuity and hold others accountable for results.
- Project Oversight: Oversee projects and initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and meet regulatory requirements.
Who are you
We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in engineering, science or related field. A master degree or MBA is preferred.
You will bring an in depth experience within the pharmaceutical industry and preferred experience in the API industry. You have let medium or big size production site(s) before.
Your leadership skills should be exemplary, with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams and make decisions that prioritize safety, quality, service, and cost. You must have an in-depth understanding of local and global regulatory requirements.
Operational excellence is key, with experience in OPEX principles and a track record of improving business processes. You should be adept at managing change, solving problems, and overseeing projects to improve efficiency and meet regulatory standards.
You should be an experienced people leader, capable of driving employee engagement and motivation. Flexibility, resilience, and agility are essential qualities, especially as TAPI transitions to a standalone company. Gajraula is a very important site where we are expecting growth in the near future.
