Job Description

 

  1. Responsible for smooth operation & coordination of maintenance of all environment related plants like-ETP, RO, Incinerator, MVR, sludge decanter etc & other plants which may be added in future.
  2. Optimize operational efficiency of Primary & Secondary treatment facility in order to get desired results in the ETP outlet. Maintain the level of biomass & DO in the bioreactors as per the standards. This includes trouble shooting & handling of all malfunctions and problems arising in the facility & emphasize on solutions, and reporting to the Manager.
  3. Responsible for proper treatment of effluent & disposal of treated effluent as per laid down norms of “Zero Liquid Discharge”.
  4. Coordinate all activities related to above plants with Engineering, Projects, Purchase, Production & other departments.
  5. To generate qualitative & quantitative effluent data of different plant streams on daily basis & report to all concerned.
  6. Regular monitoring of effluent input & their management in all streams of treatment in order to maintain ZLD requirement and further improve its efficiency.
  7. Take a round of plant daily basis and report for any spillage, water logging, environment noncompliance etc. in and around the plant.
  8. Ensure smooth running of online monitoring system for Effluent, Stack, Ambient Air, CCTV, Ensure 90% data transmission to CPCB.
  9. Ensure Zero incident at ZLD plant and 100% compliance to PPE’s in all the conditions. Ensure Good Housekeeping at ZLD plant and plant should be ready round the Clock for any legal authority visits.
  10. To generate data regarding quantitative and qualitative identification of solid & hazardous waste generated from plants & set their treatment /disposal plan according to the nature of waste.
  11. To Keep track of hazardous waste sent for disposal.
  12. To guide and to impart training to the Plant operator regarding the plant operation & trouble shooting, laboratory test procedures.
  13. Ensure effective utilization of manpower in order to achieve smooth operation of all plants.
  14. Optimize consumption norms of Raw material, power, steam etc. in different stages of treatment.
  15. Coordination of ETP & all downstream plant like- Incinerator, MVR, RO, Decanter operation etc.
  16. Coordinate with State Pollution Control Boards as per requirements.
  17. Carryout Environment audit of plant premises as per work plan schedule.
  18. To conduct motivational activities like celebration world environment day, Plantation program, Environment quiz/competition, environment exhibition etc.
  19. Ensure proper usage of treated water in civil construction, toilet, process washing & gardening etc.
  20. Any other job/activity assigned by the management from time to time.
