- Professional responsibility: To provide guidance, directives, control and audit of security systems of the country.
- Sites are in compliance with Global Corporate Security policies, requirements and guidance.
- Champion the security strategy for the site & country.
- Instrumental in investigations related to security breaches and improving security standards of site / country.
How you’ll spend your day
Security Business Partnership:
- Champion the key focus areas of Security of all the sites in line with the overall organizational Security strategy.
- Liaise with the site and country leadership team, key function heads and cross-functional teams to provide partnership to security related processes that align with the current and future business needs.
- Ensure awareness and tracking of emerging threats related to people, assets, and information (?) security. Align with business for the mitigation plan.
- Provide leadership in effectively operationalizing all security processes and systems that impact the security overall.
- Design and implement change management initiatives in alignment with the business to achieve enhanced security system.
Planning and Cost Management:
- In consultation with respective site lead plan and allocate the overall budget for TAPI India sites.
- Track the allocations across at various interventions and ensure adherence to the planned budget.
- Understand the business needs and plan the development initiatives in security for the year. Ensuring that the plans also focus on optimizing security costs.
- Review the security system along with respective site lead to identify the gaps and opportunities of improving security system.
- Participate via security process for on-boarding and induction of new employees and contractual employees. Ensure that they have understood the expected behaviour from security aspect.
General Duties:
- Establish and maintain security related programs (such as physical security, employee security, non-IT information security, event security, travel security, pre-employment screening, logistic chain security etc.) standards, procedures, and guidelines, in accordance with applicable law and Global Corporate Security policies and standards.
- Responsible for risk assessment of the security of employees, resources and information, against criminal risks.
- Matrix management of a group of facility security personnel (typically contractor employees).
- Conduct thorough due diligence investigations of our warehouses and transportation providers, vendors and customers.
- Manage and coordinate the Travel Security program.
- Professionally support security related issues, as they occur; addressing employees and managers needs and queries about security.
- Responsible for investigating security related incidents.
- Support and guide the education and training of employees and management in security related matters.
- Control & audit security policies, guidelines and procedures compliance.
- Responsible for relationship with relevant law enforcement agencies.
- Drive training and development processes of security personnel to ensure that technical and functional skill development needs are adequately met.
- Oversee management of legal issues in conjunction with the legal team to appropriate closure including litigations with local external counsels and extend all necessary support to them to ensure that company’s interests are protected appropriately.
- Drive identification of actual on-ground requirements in terms of engagement activities through surveys and internal requirements.
- Ensure welfare activities are conducted across site with active participation.
- Undertake recognition measures to motivate and encourage employees to drive a culture of high performance and integrity.
- Sponsor planned and ad-hoc audits to mitigate business risk arising from non-compliance including being involved in conducting audits wherever required.
- Drive compliance with statutory regulations and leverage industry networks to identify best practices and update business leaders.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
- International or local security related certification will be added advantage.
- 12 to 18 years of experience in overall Security management.
