Job Description

Position Summary:  Support Global Medical Affairs team operational functions for late stage development compounds and commercialized products in relevant  therapeutic area.  Participate in integrated strategic planning for the assigned medicines within Global Medical Affairs as well as with strategic partners in Commercial, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs.  As part of Global Medica Affairs strategic discussions regarding medical launch preparation, lifecycle management, business development, clinical research and health economics and outcomes research planning, the incumbent will provide operational leadership to ensure exectuion of aligned objectives.  Work closely with External Experts, Key Opinion Leaders and Patient Representatives to build advocacy in the relevant therapeutic areas and for the assigned TEVA assets.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical contribution in the development of the global strategic brand plans, in collaboration with other cross-functional teams
  • Accountable for development and execution of Global Medical Affairs plan.  These will include responsibilities such as Phase IIIbIV trial activities (such as protocol development, medical governance and CRO interface0; development of Key Opinion Leader strategy and plan; scientific congress activities (such as medical symposium, medical booth materials creation); project management (e.g. advisory boards, medical booth development), development of educational content and slide decks for medical and cross-functional utilization, input to publication strategy and review of investigator Sponsored Studies.
  • Coordination and execution of overall medical strategy for Teva’s relevant therapeutic area specialty brands in close collaboration with Regional Medical Affairs teams, from initiation of regional pre-launch activities to several years post-launch.
  • Contributor and support to the Global Medial Matrix Team responsible for the world-wide medial strategy for the relevant therapeutic area.
  • Interface effectively with other Global Medical Affairs functions such as Scientific Communications and Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and other departments, including Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with external experts and professional associates including therapeutic guideline development groups.  Responsible for coordinating External Expert interface for the respective therapeutic area’s medicines.
  • Develop AOP and manage budge effectively.

 

Qualifications

Education Required:  Graduate education preferred, BA/BS required.

Experience Required: 

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience and clinical research experience.
  • Operational management experience, including agency management, medical congress activity planning, and coordination of external expert engagement.
  • Ideally leadership experience in developing strategy and executing medical plans, and in building professional external expert networks.
  • Broad knowledge of drug development, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, business development and life cycle management.
  • Experience with AOP development and budget management.
