Job Description

 

Essential Duties / Functions

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on production/facilities machinery according to PM schedules
  • Performs general maintenance including welding and electric; fabricates and installs parts when necessary, and documents all repair or maintenance work done on any equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs facilities, equipment and/or systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic circuits. (Motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers and water system).
  • Performs building (plumbing and carpentry) and equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools and multiple electrical circuit troubleshooting with a volt-ohm meter.
  • Complies with all equipment, safety, and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Monitors building management system and reports any alarms to the appropriate groups.
  • Address emergency breakdowns and able to work overtime as needed

Requirements

 

Education Required                 H.S. Diploma or equivalent

 

Experience Required:              3-5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical HVAC, or manufacturing HVAC related facility

 

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications required            

 

  • Read, write and comprehend English. Perform basic math functions.
  • Able to follow cGMP’s and SOP’s
  • Ability to use computerized equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintenance Technician- ability to use electrical cleaning equipment.
  • Mechanic C – Performs minor and routine repair to the equipment and completes assigned work orders. Also follow job requirements as per Union contract
  • Mechanic B – Perform major repairs. Completes preventive and corrective work. Skill in 2 trades and knowledge of 1 department. Also follow job requirements as per Union contract
  • Mechanic A – All of above plus knowledge of 3 departments
  • Specialist – All of above plus blue seal in 1 trade.
  • Group Leader- Same as above plus assist management in daily operation.
  • Requires minimal supervision.
