Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Parts Supervisor, the Inventory Control Specialist III will have accountability for maintaining site parts inventory, placing orders and kitting work. These responsibilities will include direct interface and collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering and Calibration personnel on a day to day basis. Responsibility will also include necessary communications with current and potential suppliers.


Essential Duties / Functions


•    Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
•    Daily support of the Preventive Maintenance, Engineering projects planning.
•    Provide necessary updates, changes or challenges to affected parties.
•    Ensure equipment reliability by assisting in maintaining essential parts inventory, and ensuring alignment across departments on scheduled work.
•    Meeting all regulatory compliance guidelines.
•    Ensure timely communications with regards to resources, ordered parts or supplies and monitor restocks of parts or supplies.
•    Comply with all equipment, safety, and OSHA rules and regulations.
•    Any other activities deemed necessary



At least two years in trade or college preferred, or a combination of education and experience. 

Experienced Required

•    3+ years of experience within a commercial or manufacturing related facility preferred
•    Excellent Microsoft System skills and or other database management systems, to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.


Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications 

•    Demonstrate a high level of compliance with FDA regulations and cGMP
•    Proven ability to work on a high performance team 
•    Able to anticipate equipment needs and ensure necessary parts are in place to address equipment related issues.
•    Must have excellent teamwork skills.
•    Requires a mechanically based knowledge to understand overall repair needs and mechanically based concepts needed for maintaining appropriate inventory and supporting reliability improvement initiatives to improve availability.
•    Able to navigate a high volume production environment, in support of Operations, Engineering and Maintenance and Calibration. 
•    Takes Responsibility, overcomes obstacles, escalates issues at the appropriate time / finds a way to meet commitments.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
•    Perform work requiring repeated bending, squatting or kneeling
•    Climb ladders
