The opportunity
Position Summary: Responsible for receiving, verifying items, preparing shipments, maintaining shipping, receiving materials and documentation.
Essential Duties / Functions
- Unloads vehicles, accepts deliveries, and unpacks containers as needed, prepares packages for shipment (as needed)
- Complies with company polices/SOPs/cGMP/DEA/OSHA requirements
- Records identifying Information on Items received
- Verify weight of products received (If required)
- Assembles, packages, and labels containers
- Labeling of (WDMS) incoming materials and non-WDMS materials
- Transfer materials between sites via truck.
- Support material handling responsibilities in both Edison and Elizabeth sites, as needed.
- Movement of products in warehouse and responsible for package/mall delivery.
- Material movement for packaging department.
- Records identifying information on items shipped
- Sweep, mop, use floor cleaning machine weekly and keeps warehouse organized as needed.
- Supports functions of other warehouse personnel as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Your experience and qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
- High School degree or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in related position. Pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- High/ Low forklift license is required.
- Trained in GMP, SOP, OSHA and DEA regulations.
- Housekeeping proficiency.
- Required to use a calculator.
- Computer skills - data entry and emails using MS Outlook
- Electric power jack usage.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills. Read, write and speak English.
- Ability to interface with other departments such as purchasing, quality assurance and packaging.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift, handling of drums.
