Eastbourne is the home to our Packaging Operations facility, where Teva packs over three billion pharmaceutical tablets and capsules a year. Every second of every day over 200 tablets and capsules are taken by patients in the UK, so if you join us you’ll be working for the biggest supplier of medicines to the NHS.
We are currently searching for a Qualified Person (Quality) to join our Quality Operations Team on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract, based in our Packaging facility in Eastbourne which is right next to Hampden Park station, so it’s great for commuters and rail travellers, with great access to London and the coast.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a Qualified Person to perform final QP Batch Certification and Release ensuring that all products released to market comply with the requirements of the Manufacturer’s Licence, Marketing Authorisations, and GMP in accordance with Directive 2001/83/EC
- To review, batch certify and release batches to market in a timely manner so as to prevent stock outs
- To ensure planned changes or deviations are supported by appropriate sampling, inspection, testing and document review to ensure compliance with all requirements of the regulatory authorities
- To liaise with the relevant Health Authorities, as necessary and in line with the Director of Quality, in accordance with the Teva Notification to Management process
- To ensure appropriate audits, self-inspections and spot checks are carried out by trained and experienced staff
- To monitor and enhance (through continuous improvement) the Quality Management System
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified to Degree Level or equivalent experience
- Member of either the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Royal Society of Biology or Royal Society of Chemistry
- Eligibility under Directive 20013/83/EC to act as a Qualified Person on Teva UK’s licences
Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of and commitment to a systematic approach to Quality within the Pharmaceutical industry
- Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice
- Experience in MHRA inspections
