The Role

 

As the Director, Head of Site Supply Planning, you will ensure the supply of required products to the market in the most effective manner, in order to meet market demand and maintain high service level while taking into consideration inventory, quality, operational capacity and cost. You will make sure the group runs effectively and efficiently to meet business needs. You will develop capabilities within the team to meet current and future requirements and will ensure and improve processes and relationships with interfaces. Your will ensure your department is meeting the KPIs by monitoring the department´s overall performance.

 

Leadership of the department

 

•    Ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently to meet business needs
•    Develop capabilities within the team to meet current and future requirements
•    Support change management within the department
•    People Management (~ 100 FTEs)
•    Ensure and improve processes and relationships with interfaces
•    Create and manage the department’s cost center work-plans
•    Manage the development of direct reports to enhance their abilities within the team, support the development of their own teams and help them to realize organizational goals and objectives

 

Planning of the Supply and Demand

 

•    Act as a point of contact for customer service for market, alignment in regards to service, inventory, market safety stock
•    Work in close collaboration with all required internal departments and functions
•    Ensure supply to the market: right product at right time in right quantity and quality
•    Plan and provide detailed plans for production and quality in regards to overall plans and efficiency
•    Ensure regulatory and quality compliance for supply,  in planning process and sourcing
•    Optimize planning parameters, like campaign sizes, packaging lot sizes and times
•    Ensure 100% compliance in regard to API sources, packaging material versions, regulatory and quality aspects

 

Monitoring: KPIs and Reports

 

•    Ensure successful KPI fulfilment
•    Provide basis for yearly AOP plan and LBE´s
•    Analyse, monitor and improve data for KPI´s and for Management
•    Plan and provide detailed plans for production and quality in regards to overall plans and efficiency

 

Ownership of the Site S&OP Process

 

Support the Global S&OP at the site level. Analyze net demand variations and capacity constraints by technology, including quality constraints affecting the service level. Discuss the outcomes with key stakeholders, define recovery plans, and facilitate decision processes.

 

Ownership of the MRP Process

 

Plan the site’s raw materials requirements to meet the MPS needs (as per BOM) as well as managing site’s inventory level and targets. Communicate the site’s needs to Procurement and/or vendors (including TAPI) in a timely manner.

 

Projects and Initiatives

 

•    Inventory Management: manage inventory on all production levels, also with regards to right safety stock levels
•    Guarantee and optimize  supply to the markets in correspondence with inventory management, production efficiency and capacity management
•    Lead and support projects within and without the department
•    Drive OPEX initiatives and ensure living the philosophy
•    Support successful launches, switches and changes for products and materials

•    Support new EPR system implementation 


 

Product Changes & Launches

 

Plan, monitor execution, coordinate and communicate to the relevant interfaces the site’s launch preparations and site’s products changes and material changes based on global priorities. Track and implement artwork changes.

 

Site Logistics Management

 

Manage site internal and external logistics processes according to Safety, GMP and Customs requirement  in most efficient manner.

 

Processes and Improvements

 

•    Continuous improvement in processes with group and individuals
•    Creation and release of SOPs and working instructions for the planning department
 

Requirements

 

•    Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
•    Professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry in supply chain
•    In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and topics; pharmaceutical quality and requirements as well as procedure and structures
•    Several year of experience in management paired with leadership and coaching skills
•    Ability to make decisions based on analysis and assessments
•    Strong change management skills paired with a solution and process oriented thinking
•    Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines
•    Fluency in English both written and spoken
