We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and support the development of a data driven organization by designing, building, and improving scalable data solutions. In this role, you will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and architecture, helping to transform raw data into accessible, high quality data products that enable better decision making.

About the Role

 

As a Data Scientist, you will assess existing data architectures and data maturity, identify gaps, and contribute to the design and development of secure, reliable data platforms. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data architects, application developers, and automation engineers to ensure data quality, availability, and usability across analytical and operational use cases.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Diagnose current data architecture and data maturity, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Design and develop data architecture together with data architects, ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses to support analytical solutions
  • Define and implement ETL / ELT processes based on business and analytical requirements
  • Improve data quality, security, and automation across data pipelines
  • Develop data tools and products that enable automation and easy data access
  • Support maintenance, bug fixing, and performance optimization along the data pipeline
  • Work closely with data analysts to ensure high quality data for analytical modeling
  • Collaborate with application developers to ensure proper data structuring for new solutions

Your Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think abstractly and build consensus
  • Experience working with relational databases using SQL (PL/SQL, T SQL) in production environments
  • Hands on experience with data engineering, databases, and data warehouses
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, or similar platforms
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, SAP BO)
  • Programming experience with Python, UNIX shell scripting, or similar languages is an advantage
  • Comfortable working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a proactive, service oriented mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and build trustful working relationships
  • Fluent English and Hungarian, both written and spoken
