Job Description

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Drive Safety and Compliance Culture
  • Oversight of CMMS and Calibration functions to support a 7 day/24hr operation
  • Maintain documentation for all calibration and maintenance activities.
  • Drive Reliability Improvement initiatives for the facility 
  • Implement and Sustain planning of both maintenance and calibration activities to maximize wrench time for both functions
  • Oversight of spare parts and MRO operations for the facility.
  • Ensure that spare parts inventory is optimized and that relevant cycle counts, obsolescence plan and KPI’s are implemented and followed.
  • Report monthly status of completed, past due or extended calibrations
  • Ensure calibration activities are performed and properly documented according to monthly schedule
  • Align team priorities with manufacturing operations requirements
  • Oversee execution of emergency and corrective repairs
  • Establish priorities related to distributed work
  • Support the installation or system modifications for all equipment and systems
  • Takes responsibility to improve skills and techniques
  • Assist with new equipment PM, LOTO development, etc.
  • Provide training or guidance to staff positions
  • Oversight of external calibration resources and budget
  • Work with vendors on repairs and document that activity accordingly
  • Order parts and supplies for equipment as needed
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Follows training or guidance provided by other teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested and completes them in a timely and detailed manner


Education Required / Experience Required    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7-10 years pharmaceutical maintenance/engineering OR Master’s Degree with 5 years pharmaceutical experience.


Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications needed    

  • Knowledge in reliability initiatives/techniques is strongly desired
  • CMMS experience 
  • Solid Dosage Manufacturing Experience


Functional Knowledge    

  • Proficient technical and attention to detail skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team based culture and with company personnel from all levels.


Company/Industry Related Knowledge  

  • Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.  
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements
