Job Description

The Sr. Manager Maintenance/Engineering is responsible for overseeing all Engineering activities related to the packaging facility with direct/indirect oversight of 10-15 reports covering 24 hour operation.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive safety and compliance culture.
  • Maintain documentation for all facilities, utilities, and maintenance activities.
  • Drive performance improvements and reliability improvement of packaging equipment.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance activities are performed and properly documented according to monthly schedule.
  • Align team priorities with packaging operations requirements.
  • Oversee execution of emergency and corrective repairs.
  • Establish priorities related to distributed work.
  • Complete the installation or system modifications for all equipment and systems.
  • Assist with new equipment PM, LOTO development, etc.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff.
  • Develop standard work practices to ensure proper setup of equipment.
  • Work with vendors on repairs and document accordingly.
  • Order parts and supplies for equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.


  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing/packaging experience required; experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Knowledge in reliability initiatives/techniques preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements.
