Job Description

This position performs operational, administrative and logistical activities in support of the manufacturing/packaging of drug products while providing front line leadership to direct reports.  The preferred candidate drives a culture of compliance, ownership and continuous improvement by combining an understanding of lean concepts with a working knowledge of equipment, processes and systems. 


  • Provides one-to-one feedback to area leads and direct reports regarding team/individual performance
  • Oversees all personnel and equipment training within production in compliance 
  • Develops a plan with staff to achieve goals and tracks progress-to-plan using performance metrics
  • Implements ownership culture to improve compliance, equipment and personnel efficiency 
  • Maintains consistency with peers to ensure smooth transitions and continuity across shifts
  • Leads Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) sessions to drive continuous performance improvement
  • Works with Maintenance/technicians to predict and prevent unplanned downtime through the use of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
  • Assists with quality/deviation investigations (gDR) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions)
  • Performs reviews and approval of completed batch records as needed to keep each phase of production moving forward in the process
  • Creates, edits, reviews and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Completes all training requirements and maintains 100% team compliance with all assignments  
  • Maintains shop floor schedule adherence and accountable to line performance results
  • Performs job functions in accordance with company policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Batch Record instructions
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned 


•             Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

•             Prefer Associate, Technical or Bachelor's degree

•             Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated industry

•             Requires minimal 5 years experience in a leadership role and/or equivalent education and experience
