Job Description
Under close supervision, the Material Handler is responsible for the movement and supply of materials within manufacturing, and loads, unloads, dispatches, replenishes, and cycles count activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Check on replacement of components
- Ship and receive timely delivery of materials
- Coordinate and dispatch components to various departments
- Stack and wrap pharmacy kits
- Collect documents and samples from various departments
- Inspect company vehicle to ensure optimal working condition
- Maintain inventory integrity in JDE
- Collect and put away recycles, cycle counts, and inventory
- Troubleshoot issues in Pharmacy and Packaging as they arise
- Transport material equipment and control substances to various sites using company vehicle
- Operator forklift, pallet jack, and order pickers to process daily tasks
- Maintain work areas and perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner according to company policies and procedures, SOPs, cGMPs, and Batch Record instructions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license required
Prior experience with pharmaceuticals material handling or equivalent industry preferred
Experience with JD Edwards operating systems or similar ERP system preferred
Experience with wireless radio frequency hand held devices preferred
Incumbent in this class are subjected to extended period of sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping and crouching, climbing and walking, twisting of upper body and neck, vision to monitor, lifting of equipment or material weighing of to 50 lbs. Contact with electrical equipment such as forklift on a daily basis. Must be able to withstand heights of +30 feet while travelling in a swing shift forklift. Contact with fluctuating changes in temperature several times a month. Hearing/listening along with verbal communication required on a daily basis.
