Job Description

  • Drive and develop robust reliability based maintenance programs in line with corporate and site reliability objectives to increase equipment uptime, predictive/ autonomous maintenance, and prolong the life of the equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the site to meet world class manufacturing standards using Operational Excellence principles while continuously developing and confirming Engineering best practices. 
  • Continually evaluate processes, leveraging data (including working with equipment suppliers) to ensure optimal equipment and utility efficiency and reliability to contribute to Teva’s ESG, and maintain superior safety and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain an expert team with the right education, experience, training, technical expertise, customer service orientation and collaboration skills necessary to achieve the best in class operations. 
  • Develop and drive capability building programs to enhance team dynamics, skills, and expertise to elevate expertise into digital integration.
  • Enhance the team’s root cause problem solving skills to enhance and build end to end robust solutions.
  • Design preventive maintenance and calibration plans for the production equipment, facilities and utilities in compliance with cost, quality and EHS standards and in coordination with Production and other relevant functions. 
  • Create plans with corporate and site experts to move to reliability centered maintenance, maintaining an effective stock of spare parts while managing maintenance costs
  • Validate, operate, and maintain site utilities to ensure they function as intended in accordance with user specifications and compliance. Ensure that changes to equipment and systems are carried out, qualified, and documented according to approved change control procedures and in compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Partner with production and other relevant functions to identify opportunities for cost reduction of systems and processes without compromising quality and safety. 
  • Monitor KPI’s for maintenance and engineering activities to assure timely completion, and compliance of quality, safety and documentation systems
  • Enhance and maintain the site Master Plan to ensure that the site design, utilities and equipment remain aligned with business, quality, EHS and global strategy requirements.
  • Implement global best practices and actively share knowledge and lessons to contribute and support a high professional level of engineering globally. 
  • Implement and maintain Teva Engineering standards, EHS standards (EHSbD) and global best practices and actively share knowledge and lessons learned to create a compliance learning environment. 
  • Implement/ maintain risk based and lifecycle assessments to identify business continuity plans and reduce over site risks.  
  • Initiate and lead introduction of new assets, equipment and systems that will contribute to the business strategic direction, in accordance with approved change control procedures.
  • Plan, manage and prioritize the Site Engineering budget (CAPEX, maintenance and repair, calibration, energy, waste, depreciation).


  • Bachelor's Degree – Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical Engineering
  • 10 + year progressive experience in Engineering/ Production within the pharmaceutical / food/ consumer health goods industry
  • A proven track record in continuous improvement, leading successful teams, empowering/ enabling people and talent management
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally to implement effective solutions 
  • Design experience with highly potent pharmaceuticals/chemicals layouts, containment, and engineering controls 
  • Extensive experience managing others and leading within an OpEx/Lean manufacturing environment
  • Practical experience with site EHS programs, validation, and facility maintenance
  • Preference will be given toward candidates with experience in Reliability based maintenance program development, MES, and SAP
  • Six sigma green or black belt certification preferred
