Job Description

Position Summary

Candidate will be responsible for planning all non-routine work orders.  Schedule available ready to execute (RTE) work orders with production.  Facilitate the weekly planning meeting.   Keep KPI’s updated to report to manager.  Schedule all routine PdM and PM work orders in order to maintain compliance with cGMP. 


This is for a 1st Shift position. Site operates 24/7.  Overtime, alternate shifts and Holidays may be required.   


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews the backlog (all uncompleted work) and identifies priority work and equipment.
  • Evaluate Work Requests to determine what is needed to be proceed.
  • Define spare parts that are needed to perform the job.
  • Identify and estimate the time to perform the job
  • Write a written procedure how to perform the job.
  • Identifies best-practice engineering standards applying to the job.
  • Places orders for non-stock items and materials.
  • Reserves stocked items and materials for the job.
  • Prepares equipment specific documentation e.g. special assemble instructions, past modifications, data sheets, calibration requirements, manufacturer’s design info, etc.
  • Identify any type of specialty tools that would be needed to complete the job.
  • Kit the parts and procedures to perform the job.
  • Co-ordinate with production on a weekly basis with a RTE backlog.
  • Responsible in creating a Job Plan Library.
  • Defines and tracks all KPI’s in association with planning process.



  • High School Diploma
  • 5 Years of Maintenance Planning.  Working knowledge of Vibration Analysis, Machine Lubrication Analysis, IR, and Airborne Ultrasound.
    Manufacturing experience for various segments: (Auto, Steel, Electronics, Food and beverage, Chemicals, etc.)
  • TPM training, RCM training, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
  • OpEx / Lean implementation experience or Six Sigma
