The opportunity

Job Summary: To support Manufacturing and facilities.  Perform PMs and calibrations. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and computer based controls and instrumentation on a variety of facilities and production equipment.

 

Shift Details: Third shift schedule is:

Tuesday:
• 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM 
• 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM 
Wednesday:
• 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM 
Thursday:
• 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

 

Job Duties:

  • Able to handle responsibility.
  • Repairing and maintaining Building Automation Control Systems, HVAC controls and networks, production equipment computer-based controls, electronic instrumentation and programmable logic controllers.
  • Must possess an understanding of calibration methods and standards.
  • Provide technical support to equipment / facility related validations as required.
  • Maintains standards for safety, productivity, costs and area cleanliness.
  • Ensure systems are operating at validated standards.
  • Implement calibration activities for facilities and production related equipment.
  • Perform calibration of facility, packaging and production instrumentation.
  • Identify and implement engineering process improvements.

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree with a minimum of 3 years working experience in an electrical/control, or instrumentation/controls field in a production environment.   

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates strong electrical, mechanical, automation, robotic, and motor control skills.
  • Experience working with various PLCs, PC based operator interfaces, VFD’s, and Servo controls.
  • Familiar with Visual Basic, Wonderware, Servo and PLC based programming modules.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of computer networking systems.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with skilled craft personnel and possesses basic knowledge of their technical expertise.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, ladder logic and working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Communication/ Influence Skills:

  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and the ability to assure customers that work will be performed to meet their expectations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide timely feedback to Management and customers regarding work, procedures, schedules, etc.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize project/activities (work orders, daily work, site coverage) in a constantly changing environment and create contingency plans to meet unexpected needs.
  • Demonstrates project management skills to individually implement or support others implementing facility changes.

Problem Solving Skills:

  • Utilizes education, knowledge, and experience to practically solve problems.
  • Work as a team to identify multiple solutions/approaches to problems for review to determine feasibility.
  • Responds, prioritizes and resolves simultaneous requests for maintenance support under the direction of Supervisor.
    Completing work assignments in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the requesting department. Responsible for identifying any necessary tools, equipment, procedures, spare parts, etc. required to perform routine work requests.

Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $68,000 – $89,250 annually.  Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
