The Position

 Location:  Cincinnati, OH

 Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week starting in January, this will be a day shift position.

 The qualified candidate will fulfill a co-op opportunity in one of the following areas: Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, Manufacturing Science &Technology, Quality, or Engineering.

Tasks & Responsibilities

This Co-Op opportunity provides the student with experience in several areas, with opportunities to work on cross functional projects and initiatives such as R&D, MS&T, Operations, and Quality in launching women’s hormonal products improving patient’s health.

Engineering Co-op will assist the engineering team in designing, procuring, implementing, and commissioning process equipment, facility and utilities in a FDA regulated cGMP pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing plant.  This individual will work with cross functional teams such as R&D, MS&T, Operations, and Quality in launching women’s hormonal products improving patient’s health.

 Operations Co-op will work with Production Engineers in manufacturing technologies such as: dry/wet granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation, packaging technologies such as bottle filling and blister thermoforming. This individual will provide manufacturing/packaging operational support including: root cause problem solving, continuous improvement, deviation investigations, and Corrective action plans.

 Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Co-op will improves safety culture and implements plans and programs that strives to achieve zero incidents, zero injuries and zero environmental releases. Develop and execute of EHS management system standards, plans and programs. Provides risk assessments for processes and activities. Assist with Industrial Hygiene assessments Implements occupational safety requirements i.e. lockout tag out, machine guarding.

MS&T Co-op will work with Process Engineers to write validation documents, perform product and process investigations, and participate in process improvement projects. This individual will prepare process validation and performance qualification protocols, reports and analyze data including statistics. Monitor validation/re-validation, and performance qualification processes to ensure strict accordance with documentation. Assist with hands-on process/product scale-up studies.


  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university program preferably pursuing a chemical, mechanical, or Bio-medical engineering. (For EHS, Environmental Engineering is preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be required to engage with other departments within the site. 
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Visio, Project)
  • Works independently and receives minimal guidance.

This is a full- time Co-Op position. Housing subsidy is not provided as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.
