We would like to invite applications for the role of  Quality Assurance Specialist/Officer at our Ridings Point (Castleford) distribution center. Please note that this role is not based in a manufacturing site.

A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Specialist/Officer...


  • You will support the Quality Management System and product lifecycle for products and support systems that are the responsibility of UK Commercial Quality.    
  • You will support the timely distribution of product to the market in accordance with Good Distribution Practice Guidelines (MHRA Green Guide)
  • You will actively encourage the observation of GMDP at the Ridings Point site
  • You will play a key role in Brexit activities ensuring minimum impact to the supply of medicines
  • You will effectively manage QMS activities as per Teva KPIs
  • You will oversee third party vendor activities
  • You will assess product quality complaints within the agreed timeframes. 
  • You will ensure trending reports are generated and complaints are reconciled with PhV systems.  
  • You will generate and assess product lifecycle change controls within the Trackwise system.  
  • You will maintain supply chain qualification records for finished goods distributed from Ridings Point.  
  • You will ensure all quality issues and non-conformances relating to products and procedures controlled by Commercial Quality are recorded and escalated in accordance with Teva policy
  • You will help co-ordinate internal audit activities as required by the schedules for Ridings Point

Who we are looking for


Do you have...?

  • A Degree or equivalent level education, preferably in a science based subject 
  • Experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or related industry (healthcare, cosmetics, medical devices, food industry...). We are happy to receive applications from junior candidates! 
  • Experience of managing Quality Management Systems such as Trackwise
  • Knowlege about the Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Distributors (the Orange Guide)
  • Knowledge about guidelines on GMP and GDP of medicinal products for human use (2013/C 343/01) (preferred but not a must)
  • A good command of the English language and grammar, and an ability to compose accurate and detailed reports
  • Knowledge of SAP and TrackWise systems would be an advantage and an excellent command of the Microsoft computer packages
