Job Description

We are current recruiting for Quality officer to join our team in Castleford on a 6 month contract basis.

The primary purpose of the Quality officer is to inspect, and where appropriate, approve and release/reject all 3rd party and own licence items delivered to Ridings Point, in addition To ensure and encourage the observation of GxP

 

Key responsibilities

  • To inspect, approve and release/reject products delivered to Ridings Point for market release against approved procedures and specifications (as appropriate)
  • To achieve 100% right first time accuracy for product releases
  • To receive and assess for release for sale or rejection all returned product items
  • To prepare and maintain Finished Pack Specifications for those products received from 3rd party suppliers
  • To ensure that all GxP records generated are archived and maintained such that they are easily retrievable on request
  • To assist in the investigation of complaints or GxP errors that have arisen from activities in Ridings Point
  • To write and amend Standard Operating Procedures that cover GxP activities in Ridings Point
  • To sample and despatch materials for analysis to Eastbourne and other Teva affiliate laboratories as required
  • To participate in the internal audit programme of Ridings Point
  • To liaise with 3rd party suppliers to obtain Certificates of Analysis and therefore enable the prompt release of go

Qualifications

Minimum

  • A minimum “A” Level standard of education, with a science background.  A degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Biology would be an advantage but is not essential

 

Knowledge:

  • Full training will be provided versus Teva Quality policies, SOPs and required working practices.  
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry or related industry would be an advantage

 

Skills:

  •  A good command of the English language and grammar, and an ability to compose accurate and detailed reports
  • A good command of the Microsoft computer packages used
