Job Description

The Creative Director – Digital Health will lead the Product Design team in the delivery of customer experiences that will create a sustainable competitive advantage for Teva Pharmaceuticals. The candidate will champion the criticality of User Experience. The role is broad and pivotal and therefore it will be essential to form a strong partnership with the other teams within the Teva Digital Health organization and with brand leaders. The role will lead the interpretation of the Digital Health Market Requirements into engaging product designs through a combination of internal resources and vendors. The role will also evaluate industry, consumer, and technology trends to conceptualize differentiated Digital Strategies and product or integration opportunities.

This is a pivotal role within the Teva Pharmaceuticals Digital Health team, which is charged with leading, planning, and executing Teva’s activities to propel us into Digital Health and improve the experience of patients and other key customers (e.g. payers/providers and HCPs). Teva Digital Health is accountable for the complete lifecycle of Digital Products, from ideation through product development to market introduction and product support.

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Technology and will own the end to end User Experience across Digital Health solutions. Key activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the Product Design liaison between Digital Health program teams, stakeholders, and senior executives to analyze, prioritize, and manage the release of Digital Health designs and experiences
  • Act as the organization’s Digital Health Product Design subject matter expert to:
    • Develop engaging end to end customer experiences including products, apps, and services
    • Review, approve, and commit to product design features with the ability to describe and defend them and their commercial viability
    • Own the product design plan across all Digital Health products throughout their lifecycles
    • Ensure Digital Health Product experiences address the priorities of the brand teams and meet the Target Product Profiles and Market Requirements
  • Partner with relevant functions to identify, negotiate, and manage vendors as needed to execute on the Product Design team’s commitments
  • Ensure that Product design timelines, risks, and delays are shared and escalated with relevant stakeholders
  • Lead direct reports to define, communicate, and maintain the User Experience and Design strategy and the product design roadmap, and milestones based on user, market, and organizational needs
  • Lead and support direct reports to:
    • Review and curate the product design team’s feature backlog, unblock team members, and define success sprint-by-sprint
    • Ensure timely communication and readiness of design assets
    • Remove barriers and escalate issues as needed
    • Anticipate product needs to balance time, cost, and quality metrics
    • Review and act on feedback and feature requests
    • Ensure team and plans are driven by product launch dates and product success metrics
    • Execute product concept evaluation and research, experimental programs, and beta tests
  • Partner with the brand leads to assure collaborative and seamless assimilation of the Digital Health Design strategies and assets into the branding strategy and commercialization
  • Stay up to date on current and future technology trends and smart technologies in the US, EU, and selected emerging markets
  • Lead the organization’s educational process on the importance and need of User Experience into Teva’s drug-device development and commercialization process



Education and Experience:

  • BSc./BA or higher
  • Ideal education includes a Master’s degree or relevant advanced degree in Product Design or creative discipline
  • 8+ years of Product Design or product management (regional or global experience)
  • Project management or product development experience is a strong plus
  • Knowledge and experience across multiple technologies and preferably pharmaceutical or healthcare
  • Proven ability to drive success within a matrix organization
  • Successful track record creating and building a high performing organization
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Strategic thinking and ability to proactively analyze consumer or business problems, identify key issues, develop solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact
  • Experience influencing a team without direct reporting relationships, including: Marketing, Sales, Research & Development, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Market Research, Life Cycle Management, Finance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to combine design, technology, and commercial considerations into a solid operational plan
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
