The opportunity

The HR Director for Argentina will lead the human resources roadmap for both manufacturing (with one HR Manager as a direct report) and commercial functions. This role ensures alignment and compliance with global HR policies while addressing local labor laws, union negotiations, and delivering an excellent employee experience. Reporting to the Country General Manager Argentina and with a dotted line to the LATAM HR Senior Director, the HR Director will be part of Argentina’s Leadership Team and collaborate closely with business leaders, HR Centers of Expertise, and other key stakeholders to achieve expected results.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead the HR team, driving initiatives aligned with Argentina’s business goals and supporting the organizational transformation toward a more effective, agile, specialty Bgx-driven company model.
  • Manage employee and union relationships and lead collective bargaining negotiations for manufacturing sites and commercial sales representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Argentine labor laws and internal policies at both local and global levels.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, ensuring a positive employee experience and enabling a great place to work.
  • Drive employee engagement, coaching leaders to build strong teams and foster diversity and inclusion.
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning to enable agility and efficiency during transformation.
  • Lead compensation and benefits, as well as the performance management process, partnering with leaders to build a high-performance culture and new ways of working.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to local leadership and collaborate with regional HR teams.
  • Accelerate HR transformation at the country level, fostering strong interaction with CoEs, HRBPs, and People Services, enabling digitalization and a new mindset.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement to Argentina’s Leadership Team and HR LATAM.
  • Design and implement innovative pay-for-performance initiatives, particularly for the sales force, to strengthen recognition and rewards for top contributors and drive commercial excellence.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership HR roles as most recently experiences in Pharma Companies
  • Proven experience in union negotiations and labor relations in Argentina in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in leading HR in manufacturing sites (not negotiable)
  • Strong knowledge of Argentine labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be very hands-on and involved in daily operations
  • Broad experience in negotiations with Union (Sales and Production/Operations)
  • Knowledge of payroll, labor relations, compensation, terminations, labor laws, Ministry of Labor
  • Understand HR operations in Argentina and Uruguay
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency required.
