The opportunity
The Country Lead, Serbia & Montenegro will be responsible for a commercial team of approximately 60 FTEs reporting South East HUB (P&L) across all business units and representing company for external affairs. The position will collaborate with Functional Heads (HR, Legal & Finance and others) to ensure co-accountability of functional FTE and P&L.
The purpose of the position will be to translate Teva strategy into market priorities; execute EU regional priorities & growth drivers in-market and maximize growth drivers to ensure optimal business performance (reallocating capital and optimizing P&L). You will foster innovative practices and a high performance-driven culture. You will manage Country Commercial Management Team as well as pivotal talent to ensure the right capabilities are in place to execute strategy and tactical plans. The Country Lead will be the “face of the business” responsible for all government affairs activities and representations through relevant associations.
How you’ll spend your day
• Translating Teva strategy into Market/Country priorities.
• Developing and communicating a clear and compelling vision for the business aligned with the Teva Pivot to Growth Strategy, Goals and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Formulating and executing plans to drive sustainable business growth and profitability.
• Consolidating annual commercial plans to improve overall business and financial results (e.g. AOP and LRP) and identifying growth drivers.
• Ensuring effective financial management, budgeting, and forecasting to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Assessing and managing financial risks to protect the financial health of the organization.
• Engaging with Gx, Ix and Supply Chain to align and executing portfolio optimization, CSL improvements and best in class launches and market access.
• Contracting with European Transform & functional leaders to ensure highest level of service provision in most cost-efficient way.
• Supporting Commercial Market/Country Management Team in the execution and optimization of the go-to-market models, through patient and customer insights driving toward customer centricity.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring the business is responsive to market demands.
• Serving as a sponsor and champion of change – sharing vision, inspiring and leading people through purposeful, fast paced changes aligned to Teva strategy.
• Fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with other regional and global leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in strategy and operations.
• Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organization.
• Recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing and diverse team.
Your experience and qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience in leadership role (experience with managing P&L is preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in life or medical sciences, business or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of Local Language is preferred
- Demonstrated success in working in a complex, fast-paced matrix environment in a multi-national company, experience in pharmaceuticals industry is required.
- Possess general management/strong commercial expertise with the ability to strategize and execute.
- Track record of successful achievements and progression.
- Successfully applied business acumen, spanning multiple functions and a track record of driving innovation and growth.
- Experience creating and executing strategic plans.
- Great understanding of financials (P&L, accruals, balance sheet, capital investment, forecasting and supply chain).
- Ability to effectively communicate strategies and decisions.
- Highly demonstrate Teva leadership principles.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities, building an inclusive and diverse working environment.
- Experience with building/managing high performing teams and shows strong capability of managing and decision making in matrix environment.
- Experience with leading people through organizational transformation/change, building talent and developing organizational capabilities.
- A successful track record of managing business transformation and ability to fully embrace the changes that the company aims to make for its future.
