Teva Pharmaceuticals International GmbH (“TPIG”) is a subsidiary of Teva Europe based in Switzerland. The company trades mainly Global Specialty medicines & Branded Generics Products with many markets in EU and the US. The company is also hosting the trading hub for our Latin American markets. TPIG is engaged in manufacturing and sales activities which are coordinated out from its headquarter in Jona.

Business Purpose

Mepha Schweiz Ltd in Basle, and Teva Pharmaceuticals International GmbH (TPIG) in Jona are currently looking for a Legal Affairs Officer 50% to take, together with the General Counsel for Switzerland, responsibility for all legal aspects of the business.

Your tasks

  • Take responsibility for all legal aspects of the business
  • Develop innovative approaches to legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives
  • Provide legal advice for a wide range of commercial, regulatory and corporate matters
  • Draft and negotiate pharma-related commercial contracts (supply, manufacturing, distribution, license, clinical trial agreements) and other R&D or commercial agreements
  • Provide legal support for corporate projects
  • Legally support the implementation of new digital business ideas
  • Support for the preparation and execution of corporate documents
  • Act as Deputy of the General Counsel in case of absence

Your profile

  • Swiss Lawyer Degree
  • Bar examination desirable
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience within a law firm or in a multinational company is of advantage
  • German and English Proficiency in legal language
  • French Intermediate in legal language is a plus
  • Ability to quickly develop and understand new areas of law
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Flexibility to commute between the offices in Basel and Jona to a certain extend
  • A high self-motivation, intercultural skills, and a strategic mindset round up your profile
